London Organising Committee

The London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games (LOCOG) is a private sector company responsible for preparing and staging the 2012 Games.
Led by Sebastian Coe (Chair) and Paul Deighton (Chief Executive), LOCOG has a £2 billion budget, with almost all of it to be raised from the private sector.
This commercial revenue will come from several sources. LOCOG receives income from the International Olympic Committee (IOC) as well as generating its own income from sales of tickets, merchandise and, most importantly, a domestic sponsorship programme.
To stage the Games, LOCOG will be responsible for around 100,000 people - including 3,000 staff, up to 70,000 volunteers and a large number of contractors. LOCOG's procurement opportunities will be advertised through the CompeteFor website. They will also encourage their main contractors and supply chains to use CompeteFor to procure goods and services of their own.
