London Business Network

The London Business Network assists the capital’s business community to access commercial opportunities arising from the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The Network lends its expertise to businesses, helping them successfully bid for contracts listed on CompeteFor — a ground-breaking new website that acts as a brokerage service between potential suppliers and buyers in the London 2012 supply chain.

The London Business Network also acts as a channel to wider opportunities for businesses which may not be bidding for direct Games-related contracts, but look to grow their business as a result of London hosting the London 2012 Games.

• The principal organisation working with London 2012 to engage the London business community in the lead up to 2012.
• Established in 2006 to ensure transparency and availability of London 2012 opportunities, maximising the number and diversity of businesses contributing to the London 2012 programme and creating a legacy of increased capacity and expertise.
• Set up as a joint initiative by three key London-based business organisations: London First, the London Chamber of Commerce and CBI London; and supported by the London Development Agency.
