Only 18 months after the website was officially launched, CompeteFor has advertised over 3400 contracts from over 350 different buying organisations. Of those awarded, over 80% have gone to small and medium sized businesses. Businesses from 27 London boroughs have already secured contracts using CompeteFor.

All of the permanent venues in the Olympic Park are now under construction. LOCOG name four tier three sponsors and outlines its plans for street trading and advertising during the Games. New Heads are appointed to lead the Cultural Olympiad and the Legacy for London 2012.

Supplier spotlight – ES Group

ES Group secured the contract to deliver the technical and overlay requirements for London 2012’s handover celebrations from the Beijing Games.  Working closely with the London 2012 and the BBC, ES Group was responsible for several key elements of the event production.

 

Three years to go!

To mark ‘three years to go’, Team GB and Paralympics GB athletes joined London 2012 Organising Committee (LOCOG) Chairman Sebastian Coe, Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA) Chair John Armitt, Olympics Minister Rt Hon Tessa Jowell MP and Mayor of London Boris Johnson on a tour of the Olympic Park.
